HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE SPORT? Looked for a disability sport when I lost my leg as I was always involved in sports. Gave basketball a go at the limbpower games and thought I would try find a club closer to home.
SPORTING HEROES/HEROINES: Muhammed Ali, rising against controversy to achieve greatness and Zinedine Zidane, an all round great football player. Basketball wise I would say Dennis Rodman, a player not afraid to speak his mind, be the person he wanted to be and leave it all out there, in training or playing despite never being number one or two the Threepeat wouldn’t have happened without someone doing the dirty work.
GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT: Probably not an achievement but a honour is to represent Calderdale as Captain.
FAVOURITE TV SHOW: Don’t really watch TV but two I always try to watch are Soccer A.M and Match of the Day.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE SPORT? When the Cardinals were formed they broke away from Bradford Bears BBC and needed a spare player! An old mate tracked me down and as soon as I used a sport chair for the first time I was hooked on it
SPORTING HEROES/HEROINES: A local amateur rugby league bloke called Dilwyn Lewis who I learned loads from coaching, and grew in confidence and technique from him.
GREATEST SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT: Won the odd local wheelchair tennis but receiving the MBE tops those !!
FAVOURITE TV SHOW: Good detective shows, Only Fools and Horses and good comedy in general
